- You need 1 cup of dalia/ broken wheat.
- You need 1/2 cup of oats.
- It's 1/4 cup of moong dal(yellow).
- Prepare 1/2 cup of nutrella soya mini chunks(soaked in warm water).
- It's 1 of carrot.
- You need 1 of turnip/olkopi.
- You need 1 of small potato.
- Prepare 1 of small tomato.

It is made from broken wheat (aka bulgur) and split yellow moong dal along with veggies and few spices. Oats Khichdi is an Indian style oats porridge packed with vegetables and yellow moong dal. - Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan & roast 1 cup of dalia & 1/2 cup oats till it turns aromat & light brown in colour..
- In a pressure cooker add 1 tsp ghee,1bay leaf,1tsp cumin seeds.Let them crackle,add splited green chilli, cloves..
- Add chopped carrot,chopped olkopi/turnip,/soya mini chunks, chopped potatoes,chopped tomato,green peas to the pressure cooker..
- Add roasted dalia, oats.Wash fry moong dal(yellow) properly & add with dalia to the pressure cooker..
- Add 5 cups of water along with salt, turmeric powder, ginger powder(saunth powder)..
- Cook the mixture in the pressure cooker till 1 whistle & then turn off the flame..
- Serve it hot with carrot, cucumber,curd salad..
