Recipe: Appetizing Frontside 50/50 Energy Bar

Frontside 50/50 Energy Bar. My first how to video about a grind. Most of the jib tricks that you have been learning in our recent Jibbing Tutorial series have been taught on box style features. As your jibbing progresses, you'll start to hit more difficult street style features which are often skinnier, longer and higher off the ground.

Ingredients of Frontside 50/50 Energy Bar

  1. Prepare 2 cups of whole sprouted oats.
  2. Prepare 1 cup of unsalted nut butter (I use 50/50 almond/peanut butter ;-).
  3. Prepare 1/3 cup of virgin coconut oil.
  4. You need 1/3 cup of raw honey (maple syrup substitute~vegan option).
  5. It's 1 cup of unsweetened coconut shredded or flakes or desiccated.
  6. You need 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (I use walnuts and cashews).
  7. It's 1/4 cup of dried fruit (I use cranberries, cherries or apricots).
  8. It's 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract.
  9. Prepare 3/4 cup of dark or semi sweet chocolate chips (carob chips work well too as vegan option ;-).

May contain traces of dairy, peanuts, wheat, and tree nuts. Our GO Energy bars provide a boost of carbohydrate - great for fuelling before or after training and races.

Frontside 50/50 Energy Bar step by step

  1. In sauce pan on low heat add all ingredients EXCEPT CHOCOLATE..
  2. Turn of heat and add chocolate....
  3. Put mixture into 9x9 pan, either lined with parchment paper or foil..
  4. Put Mix in place.
  5. Refrigerate 4 hours or more..
  6. Keep refrigerated in sealed container until ready to serve..
  7. I actually individually wrap in parchment paper so hubby can take to work or to skatepark 🏂.
